Asoriba Competes for $500K at the Seedstars Summit In Switzerland.
Today, Asoriba will represent Ghana in Geneva, Switzerland at the Seedstars Summit World global competition for a chance to win up to $500,000 in equity investment.
Asoriba, a web and mobile application that enables effective church administration for leaders, and seamless engagement with members won Seedstars Accra and will compete with 53 other startups from around the world for the title of “Seedstars World Global Winner”.
More than 3,000 startups from Eastern and Central Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America applied to participate in Seedstars World this year. Since April 2015, four regional teams and expert local juries have selected the most promising startups in 54 cities including Santiago, Jakarta, Ramallah, and Beirut.
“After winning in Casablanca as the best African Startup our confidence was boosted and we are prepared to take away the top prize in Geneva,” says Nana Opoku Prempeh, CEO of Asoriba who earned a Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering while attending the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) where Asoriba team of 4 co-founders was formed.
Asoriba’s cloud-based software which in addition to allowing churches to effectively manage their finances and receive contributions via mobile money and cards also provides seamless communication and engagement with members via SMS and mobile app, precisely manage member and church data, and monitor and observe church growth and attendance.
The Asoriba team based in Accra has already garnered over 200 churches and 16,000+ members peak on its platform.
