The lives of the Kindergarten pupils of Twumasikrom D/A school at Twumasikrom in the Sunyani West District are in danger following the dilapidated nature of the structure in which they learn.
The structure that was built in 1988 has seen no renovation since the school’s inception.
Apart from majority of the kids who jostle for chairs to sit on during teaching and learning periods, half of the roof of the structure is ripped off, exposing the pupils to the scorching sun and rains on rainy days.
Speaking to Sky News Kofi Oppong Asamoah Mr Baffour Diawuo revealed that he had over the years reported their ordeal to the Sunyani West District Education authorities but to no avail.
“For two years now, I have reported the situation to our authorities to do something about it and save the kids but it seems they are interested in providing school buildings for primary and JHS”.
He appealed to government to come to their aid to avert a future disaster.
