GPL Week 28: Aduana Stars Edges Closer To Title, Hearts Beats Dwarfs, Bechem United Stun Kotoko
Aduana Stars has taken a strong and determined step towards the Premier League title with a hard-fought 4-1 win at the Bolga All Stars on Sunday.
In the first ten minutes of the game, the Dormaa based side shot into a three goal lead thanks to Derrick Sasraku Brace and Nathaniel Asamoah’s strike.
The home side reduced the deficit through Samuel Norgbey, but the away side restored their three goal lead courtesy Sam Adams’ sublime finish.
Aduana Stars now needs one win from the two games left to win this year’s Ghana Premier League.
At the Accra Sports Stadium, Hearts of Oak defeated Ebusua Dwarfs 2-1.
Winful Cobbinah shot the Phobians into the lead in the 16th minute, Joshua Otoo doubled the home side’s lead in the 28th minute.
Dwarfs reduced the deficit on the stroke of half time thanks to Joseph Esso’s header.
At the Bechem Park, Bechem United stunned Kotoko to pick the three maximum points at stake.
The Bechem based side scored deep into stoppage time courtesy Sadiq Haji’s strike.
